Here is a real feature created by RWD magazine, which interviews Nicki Minaj. It explores her talent in song writing, collaborations with other famous artists and even why she really loves the UK.
"THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY"; This will attract readers because it is a common phrase that everyone agrees to. Immediately people will want to read on and find out what the feature is about. They feel they can relate to Minaj as she may have said this quote also.
The feature has clear full page images that are consistant in the colours and flatter the artist.
Each page has three columns of text, a very large low drop cap and large pull quotes. These help maintain a simple layout without all the text looking too intimidating.
The artist is shown as a sexual icon in the first picture, as her top is quite see through. He hair is almost a fiery red/orange, making her seem fierce, and this would attract the young male reader as she is a stunning woman
The second photo shows her with a weapon, large white curly hair, and an exposed chest area. She is again depicted as fierce yet is still sexualized, to attract the male reader.
The final photo shows Minaj with an innocent smile, a dimple on her cheek, long straight orange hair. She is representing the quite, shy innocent girl and this would attract the young female reader as they can relate and Minaj is beautiful again in this type of photo.
This feature is not coherent with the front cover of this magazine because the main image is of male rap artist, Skepta. Nicki Minaj is the extra part to the magazine as the cover says "+ Nicki Minaj Exclusive" in red font, coherent to the masthead.
I hope to take inspiration for the topics covered in this feature for when I carry out my own interview and make my feature.

Here is a second design idea for my magazine cover
This is the first design idea I had for my magazine cover.
I decided to change this because the model was 12years old and my magazine is aimed at 16-24 year old. Therefore, the magazine cover image may not appeal to them.
Here are some notes I took before designing my cover layout. It includes ideas for a name, reasons for the choice and background information ont he type of magazine I will be designing.
